About three years ago, I created a SoulCollage. I turned through pages of magazines and old books to cut out pictures that my soul called to. These cutouts were separate yet shared similar energy. I began gluing them to a mat board and, soon after, nine different cutouts from unrelated sources became one piece of art. At a glance, you probably wouldn’t know they were once separate.
It was beautiful, and I was in awe of the end result. It was me, and it was me connected to my soul. It was a manifestation of a future me. It said, “I am the one who is able to sit and be mindful of all that is around me and inside me and know that I am okay. I am at peace with the thoughts coming in and going out. I am the one who flows through and all around you- I am also energy. I sit with empty pots without needing to fill them, yet I choose to fill them with joy. I am the one who sits with you in all circumstances, who is always watching you, and who is aware of all that is you. I see possibilities and outcomes that you do not always see. Trust the power within yourself. Trust me. I am patient, and I am waiting.”
